Show Command

show envar

The show command displays the current value (or setting) of an environment variable where envar: The name of the environment variable to be displayed.

• show config lists useful configuration data:
  • Firmware revision number for POST, AlphaBIOS, and SRM.
  • Palcode revisions.
  • Alpha 21264 processor and Tsunami chip set chip revision.
  • Memory configuration by physical bank and hexadecimal base address.
  • Bcache size.
  • Integral PCI devices, and installed PCI option cards, and ethernet ID.
  • Important ISA bus devices.
• show dev lists boot devices.
• show memory lists memory configuration and base addresses. This is useful for locating a defective DIMM for replacement given error logs or diagnostic reports with failing addresses.
• show status gives a summary of current test results for all diagnostics running on system.
• show * lists all environment variables and their values.
• show version displays SRM firmware revision.
• show pal/EM> displays PAL code versions.
